PECC2 attends and signs strategic cooperation at Huadian’s 2026 Science and Technology Conference

On April 18–19, 2026, in Beijing, China Huadian Engineering Co., Ltd. (CHEC) held its 2026 Annual Science and Technology Conference under the theme “Converging Global Intelligence – Innovation Driving Green Energy.” The large-scale event gathered numerous domestic and international organizations. Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2) participated in the conference and signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
Within the framework of the event, PECC2 and CHEC officially signed an International Energy Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement, opening up comprehensive collaboration in areas such as renewable energy integration, green energy transition, development of gas–hydrogen–ammonia power projects, as well as expert exchange and technology transfer.

At the conference, Mr. Cao Minh Thien – Deputy Director of the Power Source Consulting Center of PECC2- delivered an important presentation titled “Overview of Vietnam’s Power Development Plan VIII and the Potential for Hydrogen–Ammonia Co-firing in Vietnam,” which attracted significant attention from international partners.
A total of 14 thematic reports were presented, followed by discussion sessions covering a wide range of topics, including next-generation thermal power plants, hydrogen-based energy, energy storage, renewable energy integration, environmental protection and resource recycling, ocean energy, and digital transformation.
On the sidelines of the conference, Mr. Peng Gangping, Chairman of CHEC, held a meeting with the PECC2 delegation. During the meeting, both sides discussed in depth future strategic cooperation directions, not only in the Vietnamese market but also expanding to Southeast Asia. CHEC expressed its sincere appreciation to PECC2 for supporting the successful implementation of key projects such as the Duyen Hai 2 Thermal Power Plant and the Dak Lak Wind Power Project. On this occasion, CHEC also introduced its latest technological achievements to the PECC2 delegation.
