Southern Power Corporation: Bringing Tet (Lunar New Year) early to poor

Recently, the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) donated thousands of Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts to poor households in the provinces of Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Lam Dong, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Ca Mau, and An Giang. The total value of the gifts was nearly 2 billion VND.

On February 8th, in Tan Phu Trung, Tan Duong, and Hoa Long communes (Dong Thap province), EVNSPC, in coordination with the Dong Thap Provincial National Assembly Delegation, organized visits and presented 90 Tet gifts to disadvantaged families and families entitled to preferential policies.

In Can Tho City, from February 8th to 10th, EVNSPC distributed nearly 150 Tet gifts to policy beneficiary families, the elderly, poor households, and near-poor households. In Tay Ninh, over 300 Tet gifts were also distributed by EVNSPC and Tay Ninh Power Company in coordination with local authorities to disadvantaged families. The Corporation also implemented Tet gift-giving activities for poor households in Lam Dong, Dong Nai, An Giang, Ca Mau, and Vinh Long provinces.

In addition, EVNSPC's affiliated power units also allocated hundreds of millions of VND to organize many practical social welfare activities during the Customer Appreciation Month; visiting and giving gifts to policy beneficiary families and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers during the Lunar New Year 2026, etc.

In 2025, EVNSPC implemented the government-initiated program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" by building 315 houses for the poor in southern provinces and cities; mobilizing over VND 30 billion in social resources to build 500 new houses for disadvantaged families; and contributing over VND  10 billion from the contributions of all employees of the Corporation to support people affected by natural disasters and floods.
