Joining the Mongolian delegation were the Presidents of the Trade Union of the Bor-Undur Mining and Processing Plant, the State-Owned Ulaanbaatar Heating Network Company, the National Dispatching Center LLC, and Tsairt Mineral LLC.

From the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Nhung of the External Relations Department also attended the meeting.

Representing the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union were Mr. Do Duc Hung – President of VETU; Ms. Nguyen Kim Thanh – Vice President; and representatives of various departments within the union.

In his remarks, Mr. Do Duc Hung warmly welcomed the Mongolian delegation, noting the significance of the visit as it coincided with the 2025 Workers’ Month and the National Month on Occupational Safety and Health.

Mr. Hung emphasized the long-standing and positive relationship between the two trade unions, with both sides maintaining regular exchanges of experience in union management and operations.

In response, Mr. Dagvadorj Altangerel thanked VETU for its warm hospitality and expressed the Mongolian Union’s wish to deepen and expand the cooperative relationship between the two organizations.

The session included discussions and experience-sharing on trade union models; worker welfare and rights protection; working conditions and labor policies; occupational safety; challenges in digital transformation; and the key provisions of the bilateral cooperation agreement signed between the two unions in 2018.

Before the meeting, the Mongolian delegation also visited the Vietnam Electricity Industry Traditional House.
