EVNHCMC has called for customers’ participation and 633 memorandums of agreement have been signed with all large electricity customers with consumed volumes from 1 million kWh/year and higher, the total potential saved capacity as agreed with customers is 169 MW.
Besides, EVNHCMC has reached an agreement with 160 customers having backup generators (with a total capacity of 150MVA), asking for their permission to use generators in emergency cases to take the initiative in electricity supply.
At the end of July 2023, the Corporation held DR events in order to inspire customers to actively reduce their electricity consumption during peak hours with a total reduced capacity of 128.98 MW, corresponding to a total reduced power output of 387.66 MWh.
The Corporation maintains coordinating with local authorities, local departments and agencies, etc. to strengthen communication activities to raise awareness and stimulate actions of organizations, businesses, and households on economical and efficient use of electricity.
