Rapid and accurate
The Central Power Corporation currently manages more than 4 million customers, covering a service area of nearly 100,000km2. Although the number of EVNCPC’s customers accounts for nearly 20% of the total number of EVN’s customers, the power sales of this Corporation represents only approximately 10%. Therefore, EVNCPC leaders are always concerned about how to improve the production and business efficiency of EVNCPC, including raising the average electricity selling price. One of the effective solutions to achieve the above target is "the program to analyze and calculate the difference between buying price and selling price of elements on the grid (substations, outgoing feeders)".
According to Ms. Le Thi Phuong Cam, the author of the solution: “This is a program to consolidate data of electricity volume and revenue gained from customers’ electricity consumption; calculating the cost of purchasing electricity at each medium voltage outgoing feeder, each substation, analyzing data, accordingly making solutions for power supply, customer service, investment in the grid, checking and determining the electricity price, etc. in the most appropriate way”.
The program exploits data on CMIS (electricity customer management information system) to calculate, analyze and estimate the future average electricity selling price for the sake of assigning plans for member units. The program is composed of three main tools including: module of calculating and estimating selling price; module of analyzing selling price; module of analyzing buying price and calculating the difference between buying price and selling price.

A useful module of the CMIS program
The solution has been developed, completed since April 2016 and tested at Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company, then deployed in 13 member units of EVNNPC since May 2016. Since October 2016, EVN has unanimously adopted this solution in 05 member power corporations. The program has become a module in the CMIS system of the whole Group.
The efficiency gained by adopting the solution is to increase labor productivity in power business activities, thanks to shortening the time of calculating, analyzing and estimating the selling price with high accuracy and visual data. The solution helps power distribution corporations and their member units have an overview of selling price situation of every substation, every outgoing feeder to serve power business activities, check price determination, and establish work schedules, etc.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Viet, Deputy Director of EVN’s Department of Science, Technology and Environment, a member of the Board of Judges of the "Creative EVN Women" contest said: In addition to the benefit value of VND 500 million per year, the solution also provides a support tool to calculate the average selling price of electricity, based on which power distribution corporations can assign plans to their member power companies, power companies in turn can assign plans to their member units; providing visual and transparent tools for executive management levels, etc. All of these advantages help EVN and its member units improve labor productivity and increase business efficiency.
