At the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Head of EVNGENCO 3’s Technical - Operational Department reported on the results of technical management in 2018, technical performance situation in the first 6 months of 2019 and some targets, tasks of 2020 plan of the Corporation.
In particular, the project of burning mixed coal for power units of Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant presented by Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company at the Conference was highly appreciated by the leader of Vietnam Electricity. Thanks to this project, the power plant will be more proactive in fuel supply for electricity production, realizing the electricity output plan and meeting dispatching requirements of A0.
In addition, the Conference focused on discussing solutions to ensure reliable and long-term operation of gas turbines and steam turbines of Phu My 2.1 and Phu My 2.1 Extension thermal power plants, plans to secure gas fuel for Phu My thermal power plants, solutions to optimally exploit water sources in power plant operation of Buon Kuop Hydropower Company.

Speaking at the Conference, EVN’s Vice President Ngo Son Hai acknowledged and praised EVNGENCO 3's efforts in power production, especially in the context of facing many challenges in fuel supply.
Regarding the project of coal burning for Vinh Tan 2 thermal power plant, Mr. Ngo Son Hai expected that the project would be universalized in power plants under the Power Generation Corporation 3 in particular and other coal-fired thermal power plants of EVN in general.
The leader of EVN requested the Corporation and its member units to strictly follow EVN’s instructions on implementing solutions to ensure electricity supply, optimize the operation of power system and electricity market; at the same time, meeting environmental requirements and accomplishing EVN’s common goals for sustainable development.
