Chairman of EVN's Board of Directors, Dang Hoang An, meets with leaders of EDPR APAC (Portugal)

On October 18, in Hanoi, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), Mr. Dang Hoang An, welcomed and held discussions with the working delegation of EDPR APAC, a subsidiary of EDP Renewables from Portugal, led by its CEO, Mr. Miguel Fonseca.
During the meeting with EVN leadership, Mr. Miguel Fonseca emphasized that EDP Renewables is currently focusing on investing in renewable energy projects across multiple countries, including Spain, Portugal, Singapore, the United States, and Brazil, with a total installed capacity of 22GW. In Vietnam, EDPR has already invested in several projects such as the Xuân Thiện solar power plant (250MW), CMX RE Sunseap Vietnam (168MW), and the Trung Son solar power plant (35MW).

Mr. Miguel Fonseca highlighted that Vietnam has great potential for developing renewable energy. He desired to establish a cooperative relationship with EVN and to expand knowledge exchange between the two sides.
In response, Mr. Dang Hoang An extended his sincere thanks for EDPR APAC's interest in collaborating with EVN. He welcomed investments in power development from international partners and affirmed EVN’s commitment to facilitating foreign companies in leveraging their strengths in the Vietnamese market. He emphasized that this partnership offers valuable opportunities for mutual learning and technical exchange in relevant fields.
