DHTPC is a unit under Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1), managing and operating Duyen Hai 1 Thermal Power Plant and Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant with a total design capacity of 2,490MW; Managing and operating Duyen Hai Power Center seaport allows receiving coal ships with a capacity up to 30,000 tons. The company was also assigned by EVN to operate the expanded Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant with a design capacity of 688MW.
This is also one of the power-generating units with high installed capacity in the national power system, accounting for about 11.39% of the capacity of coal-fired power plants and 3.94% of the capacity of Vietnam's power system. With the existing power generation units, the generation capacity of the plants can reach more than 20 billion kWh/year. Thereby, it contributes to meeting the electricity demand for the socio-economic development of the country in general and the Southern region in particular, especially the Mekong Delta region.
Duyen Hai Power Center
Since coming into operation (from 2015 to present), the plants have always maintained safe, continuous power production, meeting the operating methods of the national electricity system; achieving and surpassing economic and technical targets; ensure safety in production. The company also ensures to perform well the maintenance and repair of equipment, ensuring safety and reliability for the units, equipment systems, and works.
During its operations, the Company always strictly complies with regulations and policies on environmental protection, actively coordinating with authorities to inspect and supervise environmental protection work at plants. Currently, the plants managed by the Company are all installed with advanced technology environmental treatment systems and are commonly applied in thermal power plants around the world such as NOx treatment systems with NH3 (SCR: Selective catalytic reduction); electrostatic precipitator system (ESP); seawater SOx treatment system (FGD: Flue gas desulfurization); 210m high chimney and online exhaust and wastewater monitoring system, and so on.
Force on duty at Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company
By the end of 2023, the Company contributed more than VND 9,871 billion to the State budget of Tra Vinh province, creating jobs and stable income for workers, the majority of whom are children in the province (accounting for 63.3% of the Company's employees). The company regularly accompanies and supports social security activities in the area with many practical and effective programs such as: annually organizing the program "Gratitude to Duyen Hai"; building charity houses for difficult families; sponsoring medical and educational supplies and equipment; building people's roads, contributing to the study promotion fund, etc., has contributed to sharing difficulties, joining hands with the government to take care of the material and spiritual life of local people.
