EVN has put into operation two power units of Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant (2 x 300 MW), four power units of Trung Son Hydropower Plant (4 x 65 MW), two power units of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant (600 MW) and Thac Mo Hydropower Plant Expansion (75 MW).

Besides, the significant projects to secure electricity supply for the South, such as Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant, Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant Extension, Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant Extension, have stick closely to their established project implementation schedule.

As for renewable energy projects such as Phuoc Thai 1 Solar Power Project (50 MW) and Song Binh 1 Solar Power Project (50 MW), procedures for selection of consultants to do surveys, site investigations, develop feasibility study reports and environmental impact assessment reports have been being proceeded.

Some targets have been set for investment activities of EVN in September 2014, such as completion of commissioning and testing power unit 2 of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant, completion of installing the FGD system for power unit 1 to reach the coal burning milestone in late September 2017 and the first synchronization with the power grid in October 2017.

As for Thai Binh 1 Thermal Power Plant Project, testing and commissioning power unit 1 will be completed so that the provisional acceptance certificate (PAC) for the plant coming into commercial operation can be obtained in October 2017.
