EVN completed 145 power transmission projects within eight months

This is the outcome of investment activities in the power grid at 110 – 500 kV voltage levels gained by EVN from the beginning of the year to the end of August 2017, corresponding to a quantity of 1,132 km of power lines and a total capacity of 8,691 MVA. Particularly in August 2017 alone, construction activities were commenced for 9 projects and 18 projects were commissioned and energized.

A number of outstanding projects being completed in August 2017 are Ngu Hanh Son 110 kV Substation (Da Nang) to serve the APEC 2017 Summit; Son Ha 220 kV Substation (Quang Ngai); Tra Noc 220 kV Substation upgrading project (Can Tho), etc.

In September 2017, EVN strives to complete the Dong Anh - Bac Ninh 2 500 kV / 220 kV power line; 220 kV power lines such as Hoa Binh - West Ha Noi, Bao Thang - Yen Bai, Thai Binh - Tien Hai - Truc Ninh transmission lines; 1C branch after Pho Noi 500 kV Substation.

Due to obstacles in compensation and site clearance, some key projects have faced construction delays, such as synchronous power grids of Vinh Tan 1 and Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plants, synchronous power grids of Long Phu 1, Song Hau 1 thermal power plants, Binh Long - Tay Ninh 220kV transmission lines, Dong Anh - Bac Ninh 2 500 kV / 220 kV transmission line and Hoa Binh - West Hanoi 220 kV transmission line.

Currently, EVN has kept pushing its subsidiaries to coordinate with the local authorities in solving these obstacles to accelerate the construction progresses of these projects.
