The working session was attended by, for VUSTA's side, Mr. Phan Xuan Dung - Chairman of VUSTA; Mr. Nguyen Quyet Chien - General Secretary, and representatives of the Boards.
For VEEA's side, the attendants included Mr. Duong Quang Thanh - Chairman of VEEA; Mr. Mai Quoc Hoi - Vice President, cum General Secretary, Mr. Tran Dinh Long - Head of Science & Technology Department, and representatives of VEEA departments, Electricity and Life Magazine.
EVN’s President and CEO Nguyen Anh Tuan; EVN Vice President Vo Quang Lam and representatives of the Group's professional departments also attended the working session.
At the working session, Mr. Mai Quoc Hoi presented a summary report of VEEA's activities in 2023, the work plan for 2024, and the situation of cooperation between VEEA, VUSTA, and EVN. At the same time, recommendations were made to EVN on coordinating research on issues of policy mechanisms, information provision, communication, training, scientific and technological research, and the environment.
VEEA has also proposed to the VUSTA to coordinate with EVN and VEEA to promptly propose to the Prime Minister, ministries, and branches problems in the process of implementing Decrees and Circulars related to power production and business; supporting to promote the review and issuance of ASEAN and APEC engineer certificates for VEEA members, etc.
Working session between EVN, VUSTA, and VEEA
According to Chairman Phan Xuan Dung, in recent times, the coordination between VUSTA, VEEA, and EVN has been very close and effective. In the near future, VUSTA will coordinate with VEEA and EVN to increase the organization of conferences, and seminars, and collect opinions and recommendations from experts and scientists on urgent issues, contents related to the implementation of Electricity Development Plan VIII, Electricity Law, electricity prices, electricity market, etc.
EVN wishes to continue to cooperate with VUSTA and VEEA in scientific and technological training and research, continuing to develop a team of ASEAN engineers to become APEC engineers in the Group, and so on.
