Recently, EVN has officially deployed an estimated energy consumption tool for residential customers. Using a computer or a smartphone with an internet connection, customers can calculate their energy consumption anytime, anywhere.
On this website, customers will enter data on the quantity and type of household electrical appliances being used, including: basic appliances (such as electric cookers, refrigerators, lights, etc.), appliances that consume a lot of energy (such as air conditioners, washing machines, clothes dryers, ovens, etc.). Along with that, customers will also enter data on frequency, level, and their habits of using these appliances.
From estimated data, customers can roughly know how much energy their household would consume in a month (kWh).
This tool also shows which appliances consume most energy in each household in a month. Thereby, customers could adjust their energy usage habits for efficient and economical purposes, especially in periods of extremely hot weather.
Currently, the tool has listed most basic and commonest electrical household appliances and will continue to update it with other common electrical household appliances. The tool has also integrated the influence of weather and regional factors into the calculation. However, estimation errors may occur during the use of the tool because they depend largely on the accuracy of the data of quantity, type, capacity of electric appliances and actual usage level.
Another useful solution deployed is a daily meter reading monitoring application or an abnormal meter reading supervisory software. Based on monitoring the software "Customer Management Information System" - CMIS and the RF-Spider telemetry system management program, power companies (PC) will detect customers with unusual increase of energy consumption. From this, PCs will support customers to check and find the cause and fix it.
Or with the daily electricity meter readings monitoring application via the App, customers just need to install the app on their computers or smartphones and can completely monitor and control their daily energy consumption, their household meter readings. In particular, the App has many useful functions such as: Setting up energy consumption warning threshold, electricity bill calculation supporting tool, estimating energy consumption of electrical appliances, etc.
Implementation of energy estimation solutions, or warning tools by the Power sector demonstrates EVN's efforts in continuous improvement and bringing electricity services to its customers more conveniently, openly and transparently on the basis of information technology applications and digitization, contributing to promoting the construction of a digital economy.
