EVN hosts and engages in discussions with Nexif Ratch (Singapore)

On the afternoon of August 6th in Hanoi, Mr. Ngo Son Hai, Vice President of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), welcomed and held discussions with a delegation from Nexif Ratch (Singapore), led by Mr. Cyril Dissescou, Chief Executive Officer. The two sides exchanged views on several areas of cooperation in the energy sector, including wind power development.

During the meeting, Mr. Cyril Dissescou provided an overview of Nexif Ratch, a joint venture owned by Nexif Energy (Singapore) with a 51% stake and Ratch Group (Thailand) holding 49%. Established in December 2022, the company is headquartered in Singapore and operates regional offices in Australia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand.

In Vietnam, Nexif Ratch has invested in several wind power projects, including Ben Tre (80MW), Nexif Khanh Hoa (102MW), and Nexif Bình Định (143MW).

The company expressed its desire to continue receiving guidance and support from EVN to ensure compliance with Vietnamese regulations in executing these projects.

Vice President Ngo Son Hai welcomed Nexif Ratch Energy’s commitment to advancing energy development in Vietnam. He encouraged the company to thoroughly familiarize itself with Vietnam’s policies and regulatory framework to identify credible and suitable opportunities for cooperation, thereby strengthening the partnership between the two organizations.

EVN leadership also shared insights into various Vietnamese policies related to Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and Direct Power Purchase Agreements (DPPA), areas of particular interest to Nexif Ratch Energy, as well as the fundamental principles governing Vietnam's electricity market. Vietnam Electricity is prepared to collaborate with international energy companies, ensuring full compliance with Vietnamese laws.

Nexif Ratch Energy currently boasts an investment portfolio exceeding 3,900MW across Southeast Asia and Australia.
