The project has a total investment cost of about VND 500 million, being scheduled to be implemented in 45 days from August 15, 2017. Placed in the roof on the podium of the building (5th floor) with an area of about 450 m2, using polycrystalline cell technology (performance of at least 16%). The panels will be connected to the building's electrical system via an inverter and monitored through a SCADA system.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Phu - Deputy General Director in charge of thermal and solar power of PECC2 said that in the process of implementation, PECC2 requires contractors to secure safe operation of the building. In parallel the project should have an architectural landscape in harmony with the general architecture of the building and aims to communicate and disseminate the use of clean energy.
Once commissioned, this solar panel system will add another electricity supply source to EVN building. At the same time, the project affirms a general policy of Vietnam Electricity to enhance investment in solar power development all over the country.
