The breakthrough of the tourism industry of Thanh Hoa province has been attained owing to a considerable contribution from the power sector. We appreciate the proactive role of Thanh Hoa Power Company in investing, upgrading the power system in tourist attractions. Particularly in the Lam Kinh Historical - Cultural Relics, Thanh Hoa Power Company installed underground cables in order to maintain the landscape and architecture of the monument.
In addition, in ecotourism zones in mountainous, remote communes such as Cam Luong holy fish spring (Cam Thuy), Pu Luong Nature Reserve (Ba Thuoc), etc. Thanh Hoa Power Company attempted to invest in physical infrastructure of electricity system to facilitate the development of community tourism in upland areas.
Close cooperation with businesses
After more than 2 years of operation, the number of tourists coming to Sam Son FLC Resort has been constantly increasing. Mr. Nguyen Van Quy, Deputy Technical Director of Sam Son FLC Resort said: This successful result is achieved thanks to the enthusiastic support from Thanh Hoa Power Company and Sam Son Power Department. In the FLC's investment journey in Thanh Hoa, electricity was "one step ahead". Even, Thanh Hoa Power Company actively invested in reserve capacity for newly operating areas of Sam Son FLC.
Every month, the power sector conducts routine maintenance free of charge for the transformers of customers.

Mr. Do Cong Tai - Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Power Company said: At the Sam Son tourist site, abrupt increases in the electricity load sometimes are experienced up to 230%, making the electricity supply challenging. The company has promptly reported to leaders of the Northern Power Corporation to invest an additional T2 transformer for Sam Son 110 kV Substation, establish a double circuit line connecting to the FLC area, etc., with the aim of ensuring stable electricity supply, serving requirements for "hot" development in this area.
In addition, in many cases, Thanh Hoa Power Company is not timely provided with information on electricity demand of investors. When investors make requests, the time budget for implementing power projects may be very limited. Not to mention, land reserves in the tourist attraction areas are not available, thus construction of power projects faces many difficulties in site clearance. However, Thanh Hoa Power Company has worked closely with the local authorities and businesses to supply electricity stably and safely, contributing to the development of Thanh Hoa province’s tourism industry.
