According to Mr. Troels Jakobsen, as a pioneer investor in many emerging offshore wind power markets, Denmark's CIP Group has achieved many successes in financing, developing and operating projects, typically for the 600MW Changfang Xidao project in Taiwan (China) – USD 3 billion has been raised, holding the record of the largest financial arrangement for offshore wind power projects in the Pacific Asia region, the 800MW Vineyard project in the United States for which USD 2 billion has been successfully arranged.
In addition to focusing on developing a global portfolio of offshore wind power projects, CIP Group is planning to research and develop renewable energy technology.
In Vietnam, Conpenhagen Offshore Partner (COP) - a member company of CIP Group is developing an offshore wind power project in La Gan, Binh Thuan province (3,500MW), which is currently in the process of applying for an offshore survey permit.

At the meeting, CIP Group discussed with EVN about the offshore wind power investment plan; shared experiences in project development in markets other than Vietnam and explored the possibility of cooperation with EVN in the field of offshore wind power.
EVN Deputy General Director – Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh sincerely thanked Mr. Troels Jakobsen - Trade Counselor and Acting Deputy Ambassador of Denmark to Vietnam. At the same time, he expressed a desire to learn from Denmark's experience in offshore wind power development as well as in the operation of a renewable energy integrated power system. In order to contribute to ensuring energy sources for socio-economic development, EVN is willing to work and cooperate with the Danish Embassy as well as Danish businesses which are experienced and have financial resources to develop offshore wind power sources in the future.
