The memorandum of long-term strategic cooperation between EVN and CSG aims to establish a framework of cooperation between the two parties in order to strengthen cooperation in the fields of power generation, transmission and distribution, business and customer service, import and export of electricity, organizational restructuring, digital transformation and human resource training in the power sector.
At the EVN headquarters endpoint (Hanoi), EVN Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh said that Vietnam Electricity and China Southern Power Grid Company have had nearly 20 years of cooperation in cross-border electricity trading at voltage levels of 220kV and 110kV. Currently, the two parties have been cooperating under power purchase agreements signed in the period 2022 - 2025.
Through this memorandum of cooperation, the two parties will keep on effectively implementing cooperation activities, make good use of each party's experience, resources and potential, as well as promote the development of electricity cooperation in the region, form a power grid interconnection among countries in the Greater Mekong Sub-region Economic Cooperation Program, expand and enhance multilateral electricity trading.

Mr. Zhang Wenfeng - Deputy General Director of China Southern Power Grid Company stated that the event of signing a memorandum of long-term strategic cooperation between EVN and CSG would open a new chapter for the bilateral cooperation. CSG will maintain the view of mutual development for successful cooperation.
