At the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of CPECC La Tat Hung reviewed a number of projects that have been and are being implemented by CPECC in Vietnam, highlighted the BOT 1200MW Hai Duong Thermal Power Project which has been put into operation since 2021.
In addition, CPECC has acted as a designing consultant for 22 coal-fired thermal power projects in Vietnam under EVN and other large corporations; CPECC is also planning and registering for investment in an Energy Center in the North of Vietnam.
The CPECC leader expressed his desire to expand cooperation programs with EVN in Vietnam based on CPECC's capabilities and experiences in the fields of renewable energy, consulting on upgrading and technically renovating thermal power plants, improving efficiency, reducing coal consumption, and protecting the environment.

At the meeting, EVN’s President Nguyen Tai Anh thanked CPECC for their contributions, support in and sharing of technical and technological aspects as well as management experience in many areas with EVN in particular and the energy industry of Vietnam in general.
The EVN leader expected that CPECC would provide technical consulting, investment, and energy trading services for businesses in Vietnam, especially in the development of high-voltage direct current transmission systems (HVDC), improving technologies in coal-fired power plants, and developing renewable energy sources.
In the meeting, leaders of the two Groups also discussed several issues related to development policies and strategies of financial institutions, energy and electricity businesses, research of new technologies, project evaluation methods, consulting, and technical services for future projects.
