EVN officially provides electronic contracts

On 12 December 2019, in Hanoi, Vietnam Electricity (EVN) organized  the announcement ceremony of “Provision of electronic contracts”, marking the completion of digitalizing the entire process of the electricity service provision to EVN’s customers. This is one of activities in the Customer Gratitude Month (12/2019) and celebrates 65th anniversary of Vietnam Power Sector Traditional Day (21/12/1954 – 21/12/2019).

EVN General Director Tran Dinh Nhan said: “The implementation of providing electronic contract marks a new step in electricity trading services of EVN. This is the strong will of EVN in applying the achievement of Industry 4.0, putting electronic files, invoices, payment and transactions into EVN’s business activities and customer services, performing the Government’s policies on promptly developing the digital economy”.

Mr. Nhan also committed that EVN would meet all customers’ requirements for providing legal electricity services exactly following  the announced quality, requested content and time; complying with “one-stop-shop mechanism”  from receiving to completing the services; and ensure simplicity, convenience, publicity, transparency, easy check and supervision.

According to Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Chairman of Vietnam’s Customer Protection Association, providing the electronic contracts by EVN is good news for customers across the country. As instead of directly going to transaction locations, from now on, customers only need to perform transactions via online form, saving their travel time and costs.

Provision of Electronic Contracts remarks an obvious advance of EVN in providing the electricity service – a special goods as “the national policy and the people’s livelihood”.

EVN is one of the State-run businesses pioneering in providing the electronic services with high security level, ensuring customers’ information security.

In 2018, EVN provided online electricity services equivalent to Level-4 public services (the highest level prescribed by the Government). Up to now, with providing the Electronic Contracts, EVN has continued a new step in business and customers’ services.

Steps to perform electronic contract between customers and EVN

- As by 2019, EVN has directly supplied power to more than 28.03 million customers all over the country.

- Averagely every year, EVN receives and handles over 1 million new customers for electricity service registration.
