With the aim of putting the project into operation in the earliest possible time, simultaneously ensuring the project quality to meet urgent requirements of electricity supply for the country's socio-economic development in the coming period, Vietnam Electricity / Power Project Management Board No.2 in collaboration with the Consortium of MITSUBISHI - HYUNDAI - CC1 held a ceremony to launch an emulation movement to complete construction of foundations of Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant with the targeted schedule: Successfully completing construction of foundations of project items before January 23, 2024.
Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant Project under Quang Trach Power Center has been assigned by the Government to Vietnam Electricity as the project owner in Document No.1828/TTg-KTN dated October 15, 2016 of the Prime Minister regarding adjustment of some thermal power projects in Quang Trach and Quynh Lap Thermal Power Centers. Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant project aims at supplying electricity to the national power system, ensuring power supply safety of the power system, contributing to local socio-economic development, increasing budget revenue for Quang Binh province, creating jobs for local residents.
In the past time, following the direction of the Prime Minister, the Committee for Management of State Capital at Enterprises, the People's Committee of Quang Binh Province and related ministries, Vietnam Electricity has been accelerating the project implementation. The EPC contract of the project has been signed between Power Project Management Board No.2 (Project Owner’s representative) and the Consortium of contractors including Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan) - Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C - Korea) - Construction Corporation No.1 (CC1). These contractors are having extensive experience in the field of thermal power construction.
