Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Ho Thi Kim Thoa spoke at the meeting
At the meeting, Vice Minister Ho Thi Kim Thoa said that the security and safety of the information system of the power industry has been attached much importance by the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Taking consideration of EVN’s reports, the Vice Minister highly appreciated the pro-activeness as well as investments in physical infrastructures and human resources made by EVN in this area.
According to Mr. Ngo Son Hai – Vice President of Vietnam Electricity, during the past time EVN has taken the initiative to perform solutions to secure a safe information system such as: development and issuance of regulations on information security and safety; completion of a Study on Information Security and Safety applicable to member organizations; review and categorization of critical projects, etc.
Most of the member organizations under EVN have applied ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard in information management. In the coming time, EVN will continue finalization of the current regulations and procedures in this area – said EVN’s Vice President.
