EVN works and coordinates with Thai Binh province on power supply situation and investment and construction of power projects

Working in Thai Binh Province on 19 October 2023, the  EVN's delegation and provincial leaders assessed the power supply situation, power supply network development plans, and power demand of the Thai Binh Province.

Mr. Pham Hong Phuong -  Vice President of EVN speaking at  meeting  with People's Committee of Thai Binh province

Thai Binh province is currently supplied with electricity from 2 220kV substations, 4 220kV feeders with a total length of more than 129km; 14 110kV substations, and 25 110kV lines with a total length of nearly 300km. The 35kV, 22kV, and 10kV medium voltage lines in the province have a total length of nearly 2,950km.

Regarding the transmission grid, the total capacity of the 2 220kV substations (total 750MVA) does not meet all the load needs of the province and needs to be supported through 110kV lines connected to the power grid of Nam Dinh and Hai Phong provinces. However, the interconnection lines are also operating at full load. In addition, in the period 2023 - 2025, Thai Binh province shall deploy many new industrial park projects, it is expected that load demand will continue to increase.

Regarding investment and construction of 110kV, medium, and low voltage power grid projects in recent times, they have basically met the requirements of power supply to serve socio-economic development and people’s daily life in the province.

To ensure power supply for load development in Thai Binh province, EVNNPT and EVNNPC are continuing to invest in 500-220-110kV power grid projects in the period 2021 - 2025.

Some key projects such as Nam Dinh 1 Thermal - Pho Noi 500kV Power Line (Hung Yen) is expected to start construction in the fourth quarter of this year; The Hai Phong - Thai Binh 500kV power line project is expected to start construction in the second quarter of 2026, completed in 2027; Thai Binh 500kV substation project and its connection are expected to start construction in February 2024, striving to be completed by the end of 2024.

With a 220kV level, the Thai Binh - Thanh Nghi 220kV power line project is expected to start construction in the third quarter of 2026, completed in 2027; The Vu Thu 220kV substation project and its connection line are expected to start construction in 2023, and be completed in the period 2024-2025.

For the 110kV power grid, in the period 2021 - 2025, EVNNPC has been investing in 26 projects in the province, currently completing 13 projects and implementing 13 projects.

Mr. Ngo Dong Hai - Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of National Assembly Delegation of Thai Binh Province thanking EVN and its member units for their interest and investment in developing power system in Thai Binh province
