The meeting was attended by representatives of the National Electricity System and Market Operation (NSMO), Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT); by the representatives, including Lancang-Mekong International (LMI) and China Yunnan Power Grid Company (YNPG), Mr. Cheng Jun, Deputy General Director of LMI and Ms. Zhang Hong, Deputy General Director of YNPG, along with a delegation of senior leaders.

At the meeting, Mr. Cheng Jun, Deputy General Director of Lancang - Mekong International Co., Ltd. affirmed that the cooperation in electricity trading has become an important part of trade cooperation between Vietnam and China. In the coming time, LMI and YNPG hope that the two sides will research and implement projects to expand the scale of grid connection as well as optimize connection methods, and so on.

Within the framework of the program, LMI also proposed a plan to organize activities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vietnam-China electricity trading, expected to be held in November 2024.

Mr. Ngo Son Hai highly appreciated the close cooperation and coordination between LMI and YNPG with EVN units during the cooperation process. Currently, the cooperation contents between EVN and LMI, YNPG are being effectively implemented.
Mr. Ngo Son Hai believes that the strong relationship among the parties can continue to support, learn, and share experiences with one another in technical work and efficient grid operation.
The leaders of the parties agreed to continue to organize further meetings to discuss, analyze, evaluate, and develop implementation plans in the coming time.
