EVNCPC wins big at Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award 2020

On November 10, in Hanoi, a ceremony to summarize and grant the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award (WIPO Award) took place in 2020. Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) won 1 first prize and 2 third prizes, 1 Consolation prize out of a total of 45 awarded works.

Specifically, the work "Research and development of fast-charging stations for electric cars according to Chademo standards to promote and encourage the use of electric cars in Vietnam" by the author group: MSc. Tran Dung, Engineer Bui Phuc Chinh, Engineers Dinh Huy Vu, Ha Duc Tuong Quan, Le Quang Vuong (under the Electronic Measuring  Equipment Manufacturing Center of Central Power) were awarded the First Prize, in the field of energy-saving technology and new energy use. At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Dung - Center director, project manager, was honored to be one of 9 individuals to receive the Certificate of Merit granted by the Prime Minister.

The representative of the author group from the Center for manufacturing electronic measuring equipment in the Central region (leftmost, first place) received the first prize.

The WIPO Award 2020 was also honored to other works by 3 groups of authors of Da Nang Power One-member Company Limited (Da Nang PC) - EVNCPC. Specifically: The work "Analysis of abnormal real-time power output warnings from by telemetry" by the author group: Huynh Thao Nguyen; Le Hong Cuong, Vo Hoa; Phan Quang Tu, Bui Van Minh and Huynh Van Tien with the third prize. The work "Application of the Scada system to optimize the management and operation of the power grid based on geographical maps" by Hoang Dang Nam, Vo Van Phuong, Hoang Duc Quang Sang and colleagues with the third prize. The work "Research on building management software for power grid operation of Da Nang Power Company" by the group of authors Vo Hoa, Vo Van Phuong, Ho Tuan Anh, Ho Quoc Viet, Nguyen Cong Minh won the Consolation prize.

The Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award is organized annually by the Vietnam Fund for Scientific and Technological Creations (VIFOTEC), to honor scientists with works of scientific, social-economic values that have been and are being applied effectively in Vietnam. The award has encouraged research and creativity to solve the urgent requirements of reality and improve the competitiveness of Vietnamese products.
