Speaking at the conference, Chairman of EVN’s Member Council Duong Quang Thanh directed EVNGENCO 2 to continue ensuring safe, stable, economical operation of plants, particularly thermal power plants and their operating hours in the dry season of 2019.
The corporation needs to sign and perform long-term coal trading contracts with TKV and Dong Bac Corporation, take initiative by all solutions, ensure sufficient and balanced domestic and import coal for power generation, particularly in the dry season of 2019. Many other tasks shall be conducted, including overhauling for generator units, ensuring quality, progress and cost optimization, improve the quality of maintenance and repair work, particularly at thermal power plants.
The corporation needs to actively and proactively complete construction investment plans, ensure project progress and quality. Particularly, the commencement progress of projects on expanding basins for Quang Tri irrigation - hydropower structure, Cong Hai 1, Huong Phung 1 Wind Power works, etc., shall be ensured.

According to Mr. Truong Hoang Vu - General Director of EVNGENCO 2, in 2018, the corporation has completed the assigned plan of power production, ensuring to meet load demand of the system, profitable production and business activities, conserving and developing capital, fulfilled obligations for the State, as well as ensured living conditions for staffs and employees.
The corporation has ensured the progress and quality of construction investment in power source projects and works; completed and put into operation Song Bung 2 Hydropower Project (2x50MW) as well as surpassed the plan for targets of stable, reliable operation, self-use power ratio (hydropower block).
All of the year’s tasks and targets in the electricity market, training and developing human resource, communicating, developing corporate culture have been fulfilled.
