At the Conference, Chairman of EVN Member Council Duong Quang Thanh acknowledged efforts made by EVNNPT in 2018, ensuring the safe, reliable operation of power transmission system, contributing to the group's excellent accomplishment of the tasks assigned by the Party and the Government.
The Implementation of 2019 Theme of the Group is "Improving the efficiency of management and operation of the National Power Transmission System", EVNNPT needs to boost the application of science and technology to effectively operate the system and reduce electrical power losses.

The corporation will utilize all resources to ensure safe, stable and reliable operation of the transmission lines and transformer station, especially the North-South 500kV system in the context of continuing to provide high transmission to the South in 2019 and the following years.
Promote application of new technologies in the field of power transmission: smart grid, unmanned transformer station, online bushing cleaning, incident positioning, online oil monitoring, MBA monitoring, flycam, management GIS map information, lightning warning monitoring, etc. to improve transmission capacity, reliability, stabilize the power transmission system and improve labour productivity.
The corporation is striving to complete the construction and promulgation of technical specifications of the main equipment operating on the power transmission system to uniformly apply it throughout EVNNPT.
Focusing on completing the projects, component projects of the Project "Research, development, technology application of Industrial Renovation 4.0 (IR4.0) into production and business activities of EVN" has been assigned to the corporation. Promoting to enhance the quality of human resources to meet the development of EVNNPT in the era of IR4.0. Organizing training programmes to improve knowledge, capacity to access IR4.0 and 5G Mobile network technology.
In construction investment, EVNNPT haved focused on completing 47 projects, including key projects supplying electric power to the South such as: 500kV transmission lines Song May - Tan Uyen, Long Phu - O Mon , Song Hau - Duc Hoa; 500kV substations Tan Uyen, Duc Hoa, etc; key works to ensure power supply for Hanoi and key economic areas such as 500kV Thuong Tin - West Ha Noi transmission line, Hoa Binh - Ha Dong 220kV line, etc.
In addition, EVNNPT is striving to ensure the construction progress of 33 projects (3 500kV projects, 30 220kV projects).

Some targets and plans for 2019 of EVNNPT:
- Transmission power output: VND 203.2 billion kWh, increased by 10.15% compared to 2018;
- Power loss rate: 2.34%;
- Construction investment: total value of VND 19,500 billion;
- Commencing 33 projects (3 500kV projects, 30 220kV projects);
- Completing and putting into operation 47 projects (14 500kV projects, 30 220kV projects and 03 110kV projects);
- Completing targets and tasks of improving production and business efficiency, increasing labour productivity according to EVN's plan.
