On the side of Viet Nam Electricity, there were Mr. Duong Quang Thanh – the Secretary of EVN’s Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Members of the Board of Directors; EVN’s Standing Party Committee; Vice Presidents and leaders of member organizations of EVN.
Previously, on December 28, 2018, the Committee for Management of State Capital issued Decision No. 283/QD-UBQLV on the appointment of Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan - the Chairman and General Director of Central Power Corporation (under Viet Nam Electricity) to be a Member of the Board of Directors of Viet Nam Electricity. On the same day, the Board of Directors of EVN issued Decision No. 369/QD-EVN to appoint Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan as the President and CEO of Viet Nam Electricity.
On January 2, 2019, the Party Committee of Central Enterprise Sector released Decision No. 1558-QD/ĐUK to assign Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan to be a member of the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and as a Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Viet Nam Electricity for the 2015 - 2020 period.
At the Announcement Ceremony, EVN’s President and CEO Tran Dinh Nhan said that this was a great honor for him personally, but also a big challenge. Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan pledged to do his best, together with the Standing Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the Board of Management and all employees of EVN to overcome all challenges and pave the way for EVN’s sustainable development, securing a stable and safe power supply for the country.
The President and CEO of EVN expressed his aspiration to the leaders of the Government, Ministries and agencies for their continued attentions, directions and supports to enable EVN to successfully accomplish its assigned tasks and to ensure the national energy security.
EVN’s President and CEO Tran Dinh Nhan was born in 1963 in Dai Loc district, Quang Nam province. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Da Nang University of Technology, being a Bachelor of Economics, a Master of Business Administration; having advanced qualification of political theory, and being fluent in English.
Before being appointed as the President and CEO of EVN, Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan has gone through many working positions and held many leadership positions in the power sector: Deputy Director, Director of Central Region Rural Energy Project Management Board; Deputy Director of Power Company No.3, concurrently Vice Chairman of the Central Power Investment and Development Joint Stock Company; Chairman of Power Investment Joint Stock Company No.3; Chairman of Central Power Real Estate Joint Stock Company; Deputy General Director of Central Power Corporation, concurrently Chairman of Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company; Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman and General Director of Central Power Corporation.
