EVNHANOI actively contributes to the socio - economic development of the Capital

Mr. Nguyen Doan Toan - Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI) at the Conference of summarizing production and business activities in 2018 and preparing for executing tasks in 2019 of EVNHANOI on January 7, 2019.

In 2018, the total power sales of EVNHANOI reached 17.9 billion kWh, an increase of 9.51% compared to 2017. SAIDI index (the system average interruption duration) was 485.8 minutes, 33.2 minutes lower than the target of the year and 70.2 minutes lower than that of 2017.

In 2018, EVNHANOI concentrated its resources on investing in power grid development with an estimated performance value of VND 6,110 billion. The power loss rate was 4.37%, down 0.2% compared to 2017 and 0.59% lower than the target assigned by EVN.

Regarding customer service, EVNHANOI has standardized 83 transaction offices and 74 failure repair locations on duty; upgraded the Customer Care Center to be more professional and modern; reformed administrative procedures towards one-stop mechanism; diversified forms of electricity bill payment; upgraded meter reading and measuring systems to be smarter and fully automatic, etc.

In 2018, no questions from Hanoi voters and residents were received by the City’s People's Committee on the quality of power services. The power industry contributed to significantly improving the business environment of the City, making Hanoi the leading city in the country in attracting FDI investments in 2018.

Facing the growth of the Capital, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Doan Toan proposed that EVNHANOI would keep on promoting investment in and reliable operation of the City's power system. At the same time, he directed the Department of Industry and Trade to coordinate with the Corporation in reviewing electricity selling situation of electricity service cooperatives in the city and considering handing over these works to EVNHANOI if necessary, with the aim that Hanoi people would use electricity with stable quality and right price.

Some production and business targets of EVNHANOI in 2019:

  • Power sales: ≥ 19.53 billion kWh
  • Power loss rate: Less than 4.2%
  • Value of construction investment works: Estimated at VND 6,864.2 billion (striving to save 10% of net investment)
  • SAIDI: 350 minutes (according to the 5-year roadmap), striving for less than 300 minutes
  • Labor productivity: 2,868 million kWh/person
  • Access to electricity duration: Less than 5 days
  • Average customer satisfaction point: 8/10 points or higher.
