Accordingly, EVNGENCO’s youth union members and youths have rearranged electrical wires, switches, and sockets systems that are damaged or at risk of unsafety and replaced energy-consuming lighting equipment with new energy-saving light bulbs such as led or compact, etc. In addition, youth unions and youths also organize small groups to go to surrounding households to propagate and instruct on economical and safe electricity use measures.

Evaluating the electricity system renovation of EVNGENCO2 Youth Union, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung - Chairwoman of Tra Noc Ward’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, shared: “This is a meaningful and practical activity of the Youth Union of Power Generation Corporation 2, helping some households with extreme difficult economic conditions and lack of conditions to renovate their home’s electrical system to use safe electrical equipment; at the same time, guiding and raising awareness for people about safe and economical electricity use”.
Implemented since 2017, the electricity system renovation for disadvantaged households is maintained and performed regularly by the Youth Union of EVNGENCO2 every year. This activity is interested, supported, and encouraged by the Party Committee and leaders of the corporation to continue promoting and replicating.
Up to now, the Youth Union of EVNGENCO2 has helped 62 policy and disadvantaged households in Tra Noc ward, Binh Thuy district, and Phuoc Thoi ward, O Mon district, with a total supporting and repairing fund of over VND 90 million.
