Leaders of EVNHCMC participating in donating to support the program "Together with fishermen to light up the sea"
The program "Together with fishermen to light up the sea" was organized by Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper.
This is a meaningful and educational program about patriotism, arousing people's feelings for the country; encouraging and supporting fishermen to stick to the sea for earning and contributing to protecting the sacred territory, sea, and islands of the Fatherland.
At the same time, the program will propagate to people the awareness of environmental protection through limiting the use of lead batteries (which are very toxic) and the sense of law compliance when fishing at sea in order to implement the Action Plan to remove IUU Yellow Card issued by the Prime Minister.
The program "Together with fishermen to light up the sea" will be implemented in 28 provinces and cities, in the period from 2023 to 2025. At least 5,600 fishermen and families in extremely difficult circumstances will receive gifts from this program. Each gift is expected to be worth more than VND 4 million.
According to Mr. Le Van Minh, Chairman of the Trade Union of Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation, the program "Together with fishermen to light up the sea" is an opportunity for EVNHCMC to demonstrate its responsibilities in participating in the protection of the country's sovereignty for sea and islands. All funds donated will be transferred to Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper (program advocacy unit) to implement the program for supporting fishermen.
