Viet Tri 2 110kV substation was commenced in October 2019, located in Phuong Lau commune - Viet Tri City, with a total investment of over VND 90 billion. The project consists of installing 2 110kV - 63MVA transformers (Phase 1 has installed and operated 1 transformer); building 5 new 22kV outgoing feeders. Viet Tri 2 110kV substation was built according to the “unmanned mode”.
Although the implementation process encountered many difficulties due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, but with the efforts of EVNNPC, the coordination and support of local authorities, the project was completed on schedule and energized on 17 July 2020.
This project is particularly important in ensuring energy security of Viet Tri city in particular, meeting the power demand for socio-economic development and investment attraction of Phu Tho province in general. The energizing and putting the works into operation have increased the total number of 110kV transformer stations in the province up to 15 transformer stations, with a total capacity of 1,050MVA; at the same time, promptly prevented the overload of 02 existing 110kV transformer stations, Viet Tri and North Viet Tri. Thereby, meeting load demand, improving reliability of power supply for Viet Tri city and surrounding areas.
Along with Viet Tri 2 110kV transmission line and substation, EVNNPC has implemented many high, medium and low-voltage power grid projects in Phu Tho province recently, making an important contribution to ensuring power for socio-economic development in the locality. In the coming time, Phu Tho province will continue to create favourable conditions and coordinate with EVNNPC in particular and the Power sector in general to remove difficulties and obstacles and accelerate the progress of power works in the area, especially the site clearance tasks.
