To achieve this target, EVNNPC requires power companies to ensure that deflection of low voltage lines meets standard, especially cables behind meters shall be neatly arranged in order and labeled with numbers. The meter boxes are neatly installed. For the posts with a large number of meter boxes, they shall be hanged on the crossbar to save space and ensure a beautiful landscape.
Substations should be cleaned. The low voltage switchboard at the substation is closely locked. Low-voltage lines coming out of the boards are clearly separated and named with branches and feeders.
The telecommunication cable system on the electric poles needs to be counted and fixed with name tag of telecommunication cable management company; remove unused cables to reduce load on the electric poles. Telecommunication cables should be neatly tied.
The corporation also requires its units to continue to maintain 5S standard practicing at their offices, workshops and warehouses, avoid the situation of perfunctorily and mechanically performing the tasks, ensuring 5S practice shall be intensively implemented with high quality and become self-consciousness of all staffs and employees.
Currently, the power grid being managed by EVNNPC is quite complex. The medium voltage grid includes many voltage rates such as 6kV, 10kV, 22kV and 35kV. Low voltage grid is constituted from many different sources (invested by the Sector, receives rural power grid, power grid from REE II project, etc.) so it is not consistently designed. In order to improve this situation, from 2015, EVNNPC has required power companies to upgrade power grids in the center of provinces, cities, townships and towns. By the end of 2017, EVNNPC has upgraded 3,546km of medium and low voltage lines.
