Some achievements made by EVNSPC in 2016:
- Power sales: 54.960 billion kWh (over 100% of the plan assigned by EVN)
- Power savings: 1.464 billion kWh (equivalent to 2.66% of the power sales)
- Power loss rate: 5%
- Electricity supply reliability indices:
+ MAIFI: two times
+ SAIDI: 1,677 minutes
+ SAIFI: 7.92 times
- Access to electricity time: less than 9 days

During 2016, EVNSPC implemented 993 overhaul projects with the total costs of VND 786 billion; completed and energized 620 projects, including 108 110 kV network projects, 512 distribution network projects, comprising the total amount of 326 km 110 kV lines, 1,766 km medium voltage lines, 2,924 km low voltage lines, the total additional capacity of 110 kV substations was 2,243 MVA, that of distribution substations was 348 MVA.

In the keynote address at the Conference, the Chairman of EVN Mr. Duong Quang Thanh highly appreciated EVNSPC’s achievements in 2016, among which on-grid electricity supply to islands of Kien Giang province, as well as off-grid electricity supply to Phu Quy and Con Dao islands have satisfied power consumption demands of residents in these islands.
According to EVN leaders’ view, one of the remarkable efforts of EVNSPC during the last year was that the power loss rate achieved was 0.02% lower than the targeted norm.
The Chairman of EVN requested EVNSPC to study off-grid electricity supply solutions to remote islands in order to reduce generation costs by using on-site renewable energy sources, installing solar photovoltaic batteries at office buildings of power companies, substations; investment in study of big scale solar, wind power sources so that to put these generation sources into operation from 2018 – 2020, further promoting application of technology and science in management and operation.

Some targeted norms of EVNSPC for the year 2017
- Power sales (after deducting power savings): 61.5 billion kWh, increasing by 11.89% compared to 2016
- Power savings: trying to achieve equivalent to 1.5% of the power sales
- Investment and construction costs: estimated at VND 8,116 billion
- Electricity supply reliability indices: SAIDI: 1,257 minutes, SAIFI: 6.73 l times, MAIFI: two times.
