Exchanging at the meeting, Mr. Pham Quang Vinh – Managing Director of Siemens Energy Vietnam thanked EVN for the effective and good cooperation between the two sides over the years.

The Managing Director expressed his desire to continue to cooperate with EVN in the process of digitalization and improving the efficiency of operation and maintenance of EVN's power plants; green hydrogen production technology; wind turbine technology and high voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission technology are used to transmit power from offshore wind power plants to shore.

In addition, Siemens Energy Vietnam also wished to cooperate with EVN in continuing to provide long-term maintenance services for Phu My 3 Thermal Power Plant after EVN takes over the management and operation of this plant.

At the meeting, EVN’s President and CEO Nguyen Anh Tuan highly appreciated the technology and services of Siemens Energy Vietnam and thanked him for the good cooperation in recent years. At the same time, it was expected that Siemens Energy would continue to cooperate and support EVN in optimizing the operation of power plants, digital transformation, and energy transition.

After the meeting, the two sides will continue to discuss specific cooperation proposals in the future.

Siemens has been operating in Vietnam for over 30 years. Some typical power projects that Siemens participates in implementing in Vietnam include Phu My 2.1 Expanded Power Plant, Phu My 3 Power Plant, Ca Mau Thermal Power Plant, Nhon Trach 2 Thermal Power Plant, and so on.  Siemens is also one of the equipment suppliers for 500kV transformer stations such as Doc Soi, Song May, Son La, etc.

For EVN, Siemens and EVN have signed memorandums of understanding (MOU) in the period 2012 - 2017 and the period from November 2018 - November 2023 for the fields of transmission, distribution, power source, exchange information, and sharing experiences.
