Efforts to implement Project 06 have benefited both EVN and customers

Continuously from 2022 up to now, EVN has constantly strived to complete on schedule or ahead of schedule the assigned tasks in the Project of developing data application of population, electronic identification, and authentication to serve the national digital transformation in the period 2022 - 2025, vision to 2030 (Project 06), bringing practical benefits to both EVN and electricity customers, contributing to building a digital economy and a digital society.

In the period 2022 - 2024, EVN has made many achievements in implementing Project 06

Currently, EVN is on the way to realizing the goal of becoming an enterprise operating in the digital environment by 2025.

In Project 06, EVN is assigned to connect to and share the national population database (Population Database) through the National Public Service Portal to provide 2 services: a new electricity supply from the low voltage grid and a change in subjects of power supply contracts. Already in 2022, EVN completed the connection and the provision of two assigned services 5 months earlier than the schedule assigned by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 06/QD-TTg.

At the same time, in 2022, EVN had completed restructuring its business processes, building solutions to connect, integrate, and share data from the population database through the National Public Service Portal (DVCQG) with 100% of current electricity services provided on the National Service Portal.

In addition, EVN has also built the EVNConnect digital ecosystem to strengthen the connection with digital transformation platforms of the Government, ministries, agencies, localities, and partners to fully exploit the national common database and provide electricity services on these digital platforms.

In 2023, EVN deployed the integration of level 2 electronic identification of the Ministry of Public Security so that people can transact all electricity services in the digital environment through the VNeID platform and the National Service Portal.

In the first 6 months of 2024, EVN kept on coordinating with the Population Data Center, the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order - and the Ministry of Public Security so that all EVN’s power supply contracts can be checked their matching with the information in the population database. Up to now, this cross-checking work is being implemented vigorously by EVN and is expected to be completed in 2024.

EVN and the people both benefit when the population database is exploited to serve the implementation of Project 06

EVN is currently providing electricity to serve more than 99.8% of households nationwide, equivalent to 31.1 million customers. On average every year, EVN has about 1 million new customers and nearly 1 million requests from people and businesses to change the signed power supply contracts.

Power supply contracts and electricity services have been provided electronically by EVN and served on the National Service Portal. All electricity service transaction documents are electronic and electronically signed with CA or OTP. Accordingly, the fact that EVN's electricity services are connected to the population database through the National Service Portal is an important piece to bring convenience and simplicity to the people. Specifically, all the personal documents and records requested in the Power Supply Application document such as personal and household documents are replaced with information in the population database.

Thanks to that, customers can provide profile information anytime, anywhere, reducing travel costs. At the same time, it helps EVN save costs of printing, preserving, and storing paper documents with nearly 20 million pages of documents/year with 2 million requests for power supply services and power supply contracts, and 760 million pages/year for invoice printing.

In addition, the connection to the population database has helped EVN identify subjects of power supply contracts through the VNeID system, opening up ways to exploit population change information in the management of customers’ electricity purchases and consumption.

As for EVN, the benefits that the Group enjoys from implementing the tasks in Project 06 are enormous. EVN has been recognized and highly appreciated by customers through its "convenient touch" digital services. According to the results of evaluating the set of indicators of serving people and businesses in implementing public services and online services, by the end of June 2024, EVN ranked No. 1 among ministries/sectors providing services on the National Service Portal.

In the coming time, EVN will continue to effectively exploit the national databases to satisfy customers and improve labor productivity, production, and business efficiency.
