Delegates attending the conference
Science and technology event, a prestigious academic forum
The conference created a forum to meet and connect people with similar interests. The conference also created a great motivation for research activities and scientific and technological activities of all participants. The conference has received more than 100 scientific articles, nearly 50 reports were registered to be present at the sessions.
Mr. Mai Quoc Hoi - Vice President and General Secretary of VEEA giving the opening speech
The issues discussed at the sessions are all topical, such as draft Power Planning VIII; power sector issues in the implementation of Vietnam's net-zero commitment at COP26; wind power and solar power development; the role of coal thermal power, or power loss issues, digital transformation of the power sector, etc.
Mr. Phan Xuan Dung - Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations identifying that the National Electricity Science and Technology Conference was held on a large scale, with a reputation in the field of Electricity.
EVN has gradually mastered science and technology
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Duong Quang Thanh - Chairman of EVN's Member Board said:
With the characteristic of being a systematic, high-tech and modern industry, the Power sector in general and Vietnam Electricity in particular have been making efforts to work, study and gain experience, research and apply science and technology, approach and master modern techniques and technologies to effectively manage, operate and exploit equipment in Vietnam's power system.
Chairman of EVN’s Members Board Duong Quang Thanh speaking at the conference
Up to now, the total installed capacity of power sources in the whole Vietnam power system is 78,300MW, of which the proportion of renewable energy sources accounts for 26.5%.
EVN and units in EVN are managing and operating 29,800MW, accounting for 38% of the total installed capacity of the whole system. The number of customers using EVN's electricity across the country has also reached over 30 million customers.
Although the national power system’s scale is getting larger and larger, the complexity level is increasing higher and higher, but through research and application of science and technology, EVN has commanded safe, stable and efficient operation of Vietnam's power system, ensuring sufficient power supply for the country's socio-economic development and people's daily-life needs, contributing to maintaining national energy security.
The units present scientific discussions/reports at the official session of the conference.
