Starting out reinforcement project of Dong Ha 220kV substation from 250MVA to 375MVA

The reinforcement project starting ceremony of the Dong Ha 220kV substation from 2 units with a total capacity of 250MVA to a total capacity of 375MVA (replacing a 125MVA transformer with a 250MVA transformer) was organized by the Power Transmission Project Management Board (PTPMB) in collaboration with contractors on 22 November 2022, in Quang Tri province.

Deploying reinforcement project of 220kV Dong Ha substation

The project, with a total investment of more than VND 51 billion, was invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). The project is constructed within the existing Dong Ha 220kV substation in Trieu Ai commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quang Anh - Deputy Director of PTPMB, the project is expected to be completed in November 2023, to meet the load demand of Quang Tri province and surrounding areas; contribute to releasing the renewable energy sources capacity of Quang Tri province into the national power system. At the same time, the project supports the regional transmission system, enhancing the safe and stable operation of the national power system.
