Two connection line circuits are in the project of the Cam Ranh 220kV substation and its connection. This is a grade I, group B energy project invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation, managed and operated by SPMB, and took over and managed the operation by Power Transmission Company 3.
The Cam Ranh 220kV substation project (energized in October 2022) was built in Cam Thanh Bac commune, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province. The 220kV line is newly built with a total length of 9.4 km to connect the Cam Ranh 220kV transition substation built on the existing Nha Trang - Thap Cham 220kV power line to the Nha Trang - Thap Cham 220kV power line in construction.

The energizing of 2 connection line circuits from the Cam Ranh 220kV substation is very important in ensuring power supply for the Cam Lam district in particular and Khanh Hoa province in general. The project simultaneously releases renewable energy sources in Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, and Binh Thuan areas to the national power grid system; enhances the reliability and transmission capacity of the power grid; and reduces power loss in the transmission grid.
