Ninh Phuoc 220kV substation and connection line
This is an urgent project to gather the renewable energy (RE) capacity in Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan region the national power transmission system. At the same time, it is to ensure power supply to the southern provinces, improve the 110kV grid voltage in the region and contribute to reducing power losses in the coming period.
Ninh Phuoc 220kV substation (including two 220kV - 250MVA transformers) can release another 306MW of RE sources connected to the 110kV grid for transmission up to the 220kV grid.
The project, invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation, is nearly VND 353 billion, commenced on 27 December 2019. Construction site is in Phuoc Huu commune, Ninh Phuoc district, Ninh Thuan province.
The project was completed one day ahead of energizing schedule for the first phase. CPMB continued completing the second phase of the project with the "installation of two 220kV bays and completion of the busbar curve diagram at 220kV side”, expected to be completed in Q4/2020.
It is expected that on 2 July 2020, the Party Committee of Electricity of Vietnam will hold a ceremony to affix the name board for the project to welcome the Third Party Congress of Vietnam Electricity.
