The Hai Chau 220kV Substation Project and the Hoa Khanh - Hai Chau 220kV Line are invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), managed by CPMB, and operated by Power Transmission Company No. 2.
The project is designed with a scale of building a new 220/110/22kV GIS-type substation, with a capacity of 2x250MVA. In this phase, a 250MVA transformer shall be installed; investing in the construction of 2 circuits of the Hoa Khanh - Hai Chau 220kV line, nearly 10km long, of which the length of the underground cable section is more than 7.3km (this is also the first underground cable line in Da Nang City), the length of the overhead line is nearly 2.6km. The project also builds a 22kV underground cable line with a length of 121m to supply self-consumption power to the Hai Chau 220kV substation.

The project helps to increase the power supply capacity, meeting the load development needs of Da Nang city and the region.
