Fast as ... access to electricity services

With just a few manipulations on an electronic device connecting to internet or a telephone call, customers are able to access to services of the power industry. This innovation has surprised not a few customers.

Fast, modern

On July 11, 2017, Ms. Nguyen Hong Anh in Ho Chi Minh City posted on her facebook information appraising services of the power sector in the payment for being resupplied electricity after not using electricity for a long time.

Not only Ms. Hong Anh, many people appreciate the activeness of power sector in the modernization of services. Ms. Tran Phuong Minh (Trung Do commune, Vinh City, Nghe An province) shared: “EVN has made me change my prejudice of a state-owned enterprise being exclusive, stagnant and backward. I do not have to remember electricity bill payment date, when it comes, the bank will automatically debit and send me notice message. In the past, there were months when the cashier came to collect electricity bills but we were away, we were complained or cut off electricity due to overdue payment.”

To facilitate customers, EVN has cooperated with banks and intermediary organizations to diversify payment services. Accordingly, customers have many options for payment of electricity bills such as automatic debit, payment via Internet Banking, mobile banking, power sector’s customer care application on mobile phone, electronic wallet, etc.

With outstanding facilities, payments through banks and intermediary organizations are more and more popular, becoming a development trend of a modern society. EVN continues to intensify its communication activities and coordinate with relevant departments, agencies, local authorities, businesses to encourage non - cash payment solutions.

Time reduction, cost saving

Not only applying information technology in electricity bill payment, power corporations update publicly and receive many online services on the customer care websites, creating favorable conditions for customers when accessing to electricity services.

Typically, with the online power supply service, customers do not need to go to power companies for submitting power supply application dossiers as before or photocopy any documents, they just register online via customer care websites or call to customer transaction offices or customer care telephone exchanges. After registration, staff of power companies will survey at site, take pictures, keep electronic records, documents on service management software.

A representative of Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI) said that the Corporation has delivered this service from November 2016 to October 1017 and has received the support of a large number of customers. Not only saving time and costs for customers, the entire process and schedule of power supply are posted on the website of the Customer Care Center, customer care applications on mobile phones, enabling customers to track the progress of providing services of the power sector.

Mr. Tran Van Nam, Ly Thuong Kiet street, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi said: “The registration for power supply is very convenient and easy. Just a click, I registered for power supply successfully. After about 4 - 5 hours, staff of the power company contacted and came to survey and make plan of power supply. I just needed to prepare a full profile as instructed.

EVN has also applied electronic reporting and electronic signatures for all internal transactions in the field of business and customer service in order to improve labor productivity. In the past, when carrying out the procedures for supplying electricity to customers, electricians had to do a lot of paper works to get approvals from different levels, which took much time. AT present, all procedures are done online, approved by electronic signatures; both saving time and speeding up the progress of electricity supply to customers.

EVN has upgraded its customer care websites, with the goal of providing 100% of online electricity services, according to the public service standard level 3, by the end of 2017. Accordingly, when registering electricity services, customers can send requests, documents online. Transactions during processing and providing services are also carried out on the internet.

Power services are available online:

- Receiving requests for new power supply registration from low voltage and medium voltage power grids;

- Look up power supply progress;

- Look up information on procedures for electricity services;

- Update email address / phone numbers to receive SMS of customers;
