PTC 2 has coordinated with the Central Regional Load Dispatch Center, Da Nang Power One Member Limited Liability Company and other relevant organizations to develop an operation method in accordance with the real situation in order to be ready to receive electricity from Thanh My, Doc Soi 500 kV substations and Tam Ky, Hoa Khanh Hue 220 kV substations.
By the end of October 2017, PTC 2 has completed the projects for upgrading capacity of Da Nang 500 kV substation, Hoa Khanh, Ngu Hanh Son 220 kV substations; installing new transformers at Thanh My 220 kV substation (Quang Nam); energizing Hue - Hoa Khanh 220 kV (second circuit) and Da Nang - Ngu Hanh Son transmission lines.
With regard to the transmission line system, PTC 2 has strengthened its periodic inspection, completed overhaul works, finalized the clearance of tall trees outside the right of way of feeders under the management of Da Nang Power Transmission Company.
During the APEC Summit Week, PTC 2 will not carry out grid repair works; supplies, spare parts, standby equipment, communication will be adequately prepared to get ready in all situations.
The power transmission network in Da Nang City is under the direct management and operation of Da Nang Power Transmission Company (under PTC 2). In particular, there are four 500 kV feeders of 126 km with 300 tower positions; seven 220 kV feeders of 266 km with 541 tower positions.
The substations include Da Nang 500 kV substation, Hoa Khanh 220 kV substation, Ngu Hanh Son 220 kV substation with a total capacity of 2.251 MVA. These are important nodes of the national power grid, undertaking the power transmission and power supply to both the North - the South and Da Nang city in particular.
