According to this Decision, there are 12 power source projects on the List including Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant; Quang Trach II LNG Thermal Power Plant; Expanded Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant; Expanded Ialy hydroelectric power; Expanded Tri An hydropower plant; Bac Ai pumped storage hydropower plant; Long Phu I Thermal Power Plant; Nhon Trach III and Nhon Trach IV thermal power plants; Hiep Phuoc LNG thermal power plant of phase 1; Long An 1 LNG Thermal Power Plant; Long An 2 LNG Thermal Power Plant; Phuoc Hoa Pumped Storage Hydropower Plant.
The 28 power grid projects in the List include projects of strengthening the North-Central power grid connection, enhancing transmission capacity and power supply to large load areas; synchronized power grid projects and capacity relief of power source projects; power grid projects to relieve capacity of northern hydroelectric plants and increase electricity purchases from China; power grid projects serving electricity purchases from Laos.
In addition, the List also includes Block B gas-electricity project chain; Ca Voi Xanh gas-electricity project chain; Son My LNG gas-power project chain; LNG storage projects and power plants using LNG as fuel; Project of upgrading and expanding Dung Quat Oil Refinery, Southern Petrochemical Complex Project (Long Son).
The List also includes the National Program on economical and efficient use of energy for the period 2019-2030; the power supply program for rural, mountainous, and island areas for the period 2021-2025; pilot project to develop offshore wind power.
The decision clearly states that during the implementation process, if amendments or supplements are needed, the Ministry of Industry and Trade shall review and synthesize opinions, propose adjustments and supplements to the List in accordance with actual requirements, and submit it to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision.
