By the end of June 2024, in the energy sector, a number of large and key projects with high investment value compared to that in the 2024 plan such as Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion Project (achieving about 41.64%); Ialy Hydropower Plant expansion project (reaching about 43%); Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant project (reaching about 31.41%); Quang Trach II Thermal Power Plant project (reaching about 37.5%); Nhon Trach 3&4 Thermal Power Plant project (reaching about 40.09%). In particular, the 500kV circuit-3 line project from Quang Trach to Pho Noi is expected to be completed in 2024 under the direction of the Prime Minister.

Speaking at the conference, Vice President Nguyen Anh Tuan said that in the first 6 months of the year, EVN has ensured a safe and stable electricity supply, serving socio-economic development and meeting the living needs of people's activities in the context of many times when the weather is very harsh, the electricity demand continuously increases.
The entire system's produced and imported electricity output in the first 6 months of the year reached 151.74 billion kWh, an increase of 12.4% over the same period in 2023 and a very high increase compared to that of the plan; The largest daily electricity consumption has reached 1.02 billion kWh. EVN has also managed and properly mobilized power sources to both ensure power supply and optimize system costs.
At the conference, Vice President Nguyen Anh Tuan also shared EVN's difficulties in financial balance, due to objective factors.
Speaking at the conference conclusion, the Chairman of CMSC Nguyen Hoang Anh emphasized that in the last 6 months of 2024 and the whole year 2024 as well as the following years, CMSC, Groups, and corporations have tried to better complete the tasks assigned by the Government and Prime Minister.
