Installing rooftop PV systems free of charge for 6 special schools in Ho Chi Minh City

This is the project "Together using green energy" hosted by the Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) in coordination with 6 district-level youth unions in May 2019.

Representatives of youth unions signed the Project “Together using green energy”.

6 schools are installed rooftop PV systems free of charge including: Thao Dien Special Education School (district 2), Go Vap Center for Children Sponsorship (Go Vap district), Hy Vong School for Hearing Impaired (Binh Thanh district), Niem Tin Special School (Phu Nhuan district), Nhat Hong Center for Vision Impaired (Thu Duc district) and Thanh An Primary School (Can Gio district).

The total cost of this project is nearly VND 500 million. The project’s objective is to promote communication activities, raising awareness of the social community on safe, economical and efficient use of electricity, encouraging the use of renewable energy sources including solar energy.

This project demonstrates the pioneering, voluntary role of EVNHCMC Youth Union and strengthens the coordination between the youth union units under Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, contributing to developing the City as a civilized, modern and kind-hearted one.

The launching ceremony took place on May 5, 2019, at Thao Dien Special Education School (District 2).
