Attending the meeting, there were leaders of the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) and leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Power Company (PC BR-VT).
According to PC BR-VT's report at the meeting, in the first 3 months of 2024, commercial electricity output in the whole province reached more than 1,911 million kWh, an increase of 11.19% over the same period in 2023.
Currently, PC BR-VT has synchronously deployed solutions to meet the province's development needs, however, the process of implementing power grid projects still faces many difficulties. Specifically, ten 110kV power grid projects need to receive immediate support from the Provincial People's Committee to remove site clearance.

The member of the Board of Directors of EVN Cao Quang Quynh proposed the Provincial People's Committee continue to direct relevant departments and localities to remove arising difficulties and obstacles so that projects can be completed on schedule; put the list of 220kV - 110kV projects invested by the Electricity industry into the list of key works of the province to focus on directing implementation...
Regarding electricity saving, load adjustment, and non-commercial demand response (DR), PC BR-VT also proposed the Provincial People's Committee to continue to direct departments and People's Committees of districts/towns/cities to create favorable conditions and support the Electricity industry to well perform its tasks according to Directive No. 20/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to be the clue and coordinate with PC BR-VT, departments, and localities to strengthen coordination and support the Electricity sector to overcome difficulties and obstacles in compensation and site clearance work. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also proposed that the Electricity Industry research and invest in undergrounding the power grid to create urban beauty.
