More than 93% of customers in the Central region and Central Highlands have electronic meters installed

By October 2021, in 13 provinces and cities in the Central Region and Central Highlands, the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) has installed and operated more than 4.12 million electronic meters, selling electricity to 93.22% of customers.

In which, 3/13 power companies under EVNCPC have completed the installation of 100% of electronic meters, namely Da Nang, Kon Tum, Khanh Hoa.

Customers who have electronic meters with automatic meter readings installed shall just enter their electricity customer codes on the website https://cskh.cpc.vn; Customer Care application of EVNCPC to retrieve the index of electricity consumed by households or businesses.

The development of an advanced power metering system to control the daily electricity consumption index also helps EVNCPC's customers use electricity more efficiently and safely.

In fact, there are many cases of a sudden increase in electricity consumption due to electrical system leaking, short-circuiting, being hooked, etc. have been promptly detected by the power sector and consumers through automatic meter reading data analysis. As a result, they can be timely handled, and electrical incidents and accidents in home can be avoided.

With the results achieved in the development of the power metering system, at present, EVNCPC is one of the two subsidiaries selected by Vietnam Electricity to implement the critical digital transformation project on piloting Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) at a number of public and large customer substations. Thereby, it will be evaluated and replicated in the future according to the Government's smart grid development roadmap.
