Ninh Phuoc 220 kV substation and connection line project:
- Total investment cost: VND 360.38 billion, funded by commercial credits and EVNNPT's equity.
- Construction scale:
+ Newly building a 220/110/22kV substation with a capacity of 2x250MVA;
+ Building a connection line of 4 220kV circuits with a length of 4.6km connecting to the existing Vinh Tan TPP - Thap Cham 220kV transmission line.

Vietnam Electricity has assigned the National Power Transmission Corporation to be the Investor of Ninh Phuoc 220kV substation and connection line project. The project is managed and implemented by the Central Power Project Management Board (CPMB).
This is an important and fast-track project to enhance the evacuation of power from renewable energy sources in Ninh Thuan province, which then is transmitted to the national power grid with an additional capacity of about 500 MVA. At the same time, it improves the regional 110kV power grid and reduces power losses.
The project will contribute to ensuring power supply to the South in the coming period, which is of importance for the economical operation of the national power system.
In recent years, Vietnam Electricity has proactively created all conditions to put renewable energy projects into operation. In particular, nearly 100 solar power projects with a total capacity of over 5,000MWp being put into operation in mid-2019 have contributed to ensuring the supply of electricity to the national power system.
In particular, solar power projects have been massively and rapidly developing in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces. Over the past 2 years, the National Power Transmission Corporation has attempted to implement many important power transmission projects such as Vinh Tan 500 kV substation, Phan Ri and Thap Cham 220kV substations and most recently Ninh Phuoc 220kV substation, which will fundamentally facilitate the evacuation of power from renewable energy plants to the national grid.
Before that, the CPMB energized phase 1 of the project at 4h30 on June 29, 2020.
