The launching ceremony for the entire people to save electricity and the Run in response to the 2024 Earth Hour Campaign are programs in a series of activities focusing on responding to the 2024 Earth Hour Campaign. The event aims to spread the message "Save electricity - Become habit" - by implementing Directive 20/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on enhancing electricity saving in the period 2023-2025 and the following years.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the program, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan said that the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Department of Energy Saving and Sustainable Development have implemented many activities in response to the 2024 Earth Hour campaign in March 2024 such as Online contest to learn knowledge about economical and efficient use of energy; Launching a movement for businesses to turn off lights from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday 23 March 2024; Launching ceremony for the entire people to save electricity and Run in respond to the Earth Hour Campaign, etc.

The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade emphasized that the Launching Ceremony for the entire people to save electricity and the Run in response to the 2024 Earth Hour Campaign are activities of great significance, contributing to spreading the message "Save electricity - Become habit" to the community.
With this message, the Ministry of Industry and Trade wants all people, communities, and businesses nationwide to join hands to protect the environment, save energy, save electricity, and aim for a net zero emissions target by 2050 according to Vietnam's latest commitment at the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference.
