Quang Trach – Pho Noi 500kV circuit 3 transmission line project is a critical and urgent initiative that must be completed by June 2024, as directed by the Prime Minister, to ensure a stable power supply for the North during the hot season this year.
To date, 1,177 foundation positions have been almost completed, and the project now focuses on erecting poles. Contractors have delivered 742 steel poles to the site, with 731 poles erected and 37 sections of line already strung.

Due to the exhaustion of contractor resources, the limited construction time, and the substantial workload left, EVN has mobilized a workforce from five power corporations to support this critical project.
Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) has assembled the largest workforce, with 38 teams. Ms. Do Nguyet Anh, Chairman of EVNNPC, stated that they have mobilized staff from all power companies to assist with pole erection and line stringing. Additionally, EVNNPC has directed power companies in the eight provinces traversed by the project to support other power corporations during their missions. EVNNPC is fully committed to meeting the project’s progress goals.

At the meeting on May 29, General Director of Hanoi Power Corporation Nguyen Anh Tuan instructed the task force to prepare equipment, develop a construction plan, and ensure supervision to maintain quality and assure the utmost safety and well-being of all personnel throughout the execution of their assigned duties.
For EVNCPC, their task force is responsible for three provinces: Ha Tinh, Nghe An, and Thanh Hoa, coordinating with local forces to quickly erect 11 poles, particularly anchor poles, ensuring completion by June 20 to proceed with stringing and energizing on schedule.
For Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC), Mr. Nguyen Binh Trung, Deputy Head of Safety and in charge of the EVNSPC task force, emphasized that the leadership has met with the team and urged them to complete their tasks with the utmost determination.
Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) has registered 15 teams and is ready to approach the foundations once assigned to meet the set progress targets.

According to EVN Chairman Dang Hoang An, this project is critically important to the National Power Transmission Corporation and the entire EVN to ensure national energy security.
EVN leaders have urged all teams from the power corporations to focus intensely and prioritize safety during construction to complete the pole erection and stringing by June 20, 2024, and finish the project before June 30, 2024, as directed by the Prime Minister.
